Yes, I am back from Japan. And I caught a cold on the way. I will put up pictures, a few from each day/location we went to. And I'll probably post them on here a day or two in between, so you'll just have to keep waiting for more!
One thing I will say, airline going on strike make for nervous travelers trying to go on vacation and angry ones when their flights are cancelled. Luckily ours wasn't cancelled, but we were delayed, so lucky again that we had a really long layover.

Extra hotel nights...
At least I got a yummy meal out of it!
I was in Detroit for a work meeting this week, even bought a later/cheaper flight with a layover so that I could make sure I was there late enough to ship a package after the meeting. And instead my flight (not the earlier ones) gets delayed and I'll miss my connection. I couldn't get out Wednesday night, so I had to stay in a hotel by the airport. Not at all my idea of fun. And just as I had settled to read before bed, the fire alarm went off (I hadn't even gotten through a whole page!). So back went on the winter clothing, got my computer and other essentials, got downstairs and started to open the door... and the hotel staff are walking down the hallways telling everyone it's fine, false alarm and they can go back to their rooms. >sigh< At least the food was really good (chicken wing appetizer and cheese tortellini with a ham and white wine cream sauce and a side Caesar salad) and I slept like a rock once I was asleep.
Either way, eventually made it back to Boston, went straight to work, and have been tired and busy ever since...

Oh the long pauses I've had...
So I thought maybe it was time to bring this bad boy back into business. Apparently there were some people following it, so I'm going to try to use it a little more often. To backtrack, I have been several places in the past year again: Denver, San Francisco/Palo Alto, Jamaica, Hawaii, Skiing in Maine, a drive through New Hampshire... I'll post a few pictures from each over the next month or so. For now, here is some Boston!

New Job...
So I've been at the new job for four weeks now and we are busy! Only because their main event (a large conference for all of their clients in North America) is happening in the beginning of May, so this is the busiest time of the year for everyone.
Otherwise, things have been busy with events, seeing people, moving, settling, working, trying to keep up with a ceramics class I'm taking, keeping up with STeLA, etc. Busy and fun, but definitely busier than I thought I'd be this spring.

Wow so it's been awhile!
Went to NYC for the MLK holiday. Got to see lots of friends I haven't seen in awhile, tried a delicious Vegan restaurant, and had authentic New York style pizza. We went to the Museum of Natural History for awhile, walked through Central Park, took the Staten Island ferry to see the Statue of Liberty.

In other news, I have accepted a full time job here in Mass! So I won't be traveling to the south anymore. It'll be nice to be in one place and to know my schedule for more than 2 weeks in advance. It's a quick turn around as I'll be starting Monday (only accepted last Thursday!) so trying to get everything in semi-order before then. I'm definitely excited for it! We'll see how it goes!

Travels again
Went to Baltimore/DC a few weekends ago to visit friends. Didn't really have any pictures to put up because most of the time was spent with friends. It was restaurant week in Baltimore so we went to a bistro one night for dinner and it was absolutely delicious!
This weekend we're off to NYC. Some sight seeing, some excellent dining, and some more of seeing friends. =)

Winter wonderland
Here are pictures of snow from like 2 weeks ago!
Tree branches that fell in the front yard, on the roof in the middle of the night and landed on the walkway in front of the house.
House from the front... yes it was still snowing.

The snow covered trees in the front yard.
The pond, completely covered. The poor little fisherman in the corner is buried.
